Embracing My Life as a Clothing Nerd.

Every few months, my favourite store for online shopping has a sale, causing me to break my budget and buy some cute and quirky shirts I don't really need. I'm not a big shopper though, so I figure that splurging every once in a while is okay.

Yep, it's the Threadless $10 sale again, just in time for Christmas. And as per usual, I've decided to indulge by nabbing myself some tee's. Anyone who's been reading these parts for a while will know that I'm addicted to them, as I find it amusing how most people just don't get the humour behind the designs. (Like this time.)

You might recognise some shirts on the website. The famous noun shirt that shows off my inner nerd. The alphabet shirt that I love wearing to school. The starry shirt I wear to concerts which gives me a glow in the dark bosom. The awesome evil bunnies shirt which makes me giggle. The scrabble shirt whose label reads 'well that just really sucks'. Plus just a couple more. I'm a trifle addicted. I love them.

What's that.. you want to click some more to see today's purchases? Alrighty! Here's what I nabbed for myself today, in a semi-boob squishing Girly XL:

Insomnia
Three Plus... One

So Far This Is The Oldest I've Ever Been
Tragedy Struck
A Key for Everything

If you're up for doing some shopping for gifts or for yourself, you should definitely check the sale out. And if you feel like purchasing, you could always click on my referral link while you're at it. Just think, not only are you nabbing yourself a bargain, you'd be helping contribute to the "Keep Aly Clothed" fund.

Happy shopping!

  5. Dear Alynda,

I am reading your blog now for a while, but I never
react. I will try to this more often. Regarding these
shirts, I do not get it. I am from The Netherlands,
and I understand you are planning to moving to the UK and
I can tell you that it is pretty cold up here. So you
might not be able to wear these shirt until next June.
Further I do not think we find them very stylish in Europe.
How did you meet your English BF and for how long are you
    together? Good luck with everything!

  11. Did you know they recently opened a Threadless T-shirt store in Chicago? Your blog entry is the third time I've been reminded of it this week. 1) My good friend went to the store for the first time. 2) My brother told me the only thing he wants to do while in town this week (besides eat turkey for Thanksgiving) is go to the Threadless store. 3) And now you have mentioned it, too. It's hot, eh?!

  15. I read this post last night right before bed and I DREAMT ABOUT THREADLESS SHIRTS. Specifically, the insomnia one. That one is real, right? With the sheep? It better be real because I NEED IT.

Two questions for you before I blow my paycheck on tshirts: Do you recommend buying a size up from regular? I think you have said before that they run small. Two sizes up? And secondly, was there once a link where you got credit for referring people to the site? Where would I find this if it exists?

  16. Have you contributed any pictures of yourself to the galleries there?

  17. Those are hilarious! I really love the Loch Ness Imposter one :)

  18. OK, I am terribly embarrassed. Please ignore both my questions as I have now re-read the post. I want the insomnia shirt for a reason!!

  25. Oh, no! The Threadless sale is so freakin' dangerous!

  26. I like you because you're just as obsessed with Threadless as I am. Also, you probably say all of the themes of the shirts in a cool accent. That is all.

(this is why I read but don't comment; because they are all crap. Ugh)

  32. Thank you for mentioning this sale! Tim LOVES quirky T-shirts, and thanks to you, I am now no longer stumped for what to get him for Christmas. Thank you!!!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Shoot! I just saw that "Tragedy Struck" isn't available in Tim's size, and it would have been perfect! That's okay, there are a couple of others that he'll like. How does the sizing run on the guys' shirts, do you know?

  34. Oh yes I am a huge bargain shopper and I always make sure to have enough to go out and take part in those sales. Gotta love cute skirts when it comes to summertime that is for sure. Nice post!
