A Month on Aussie Soil.

The countdown is on, my friends.

There are exactly 30 days until Christmas.

If that alone wasn't terrifying enough, that means that there are exactly 30 days until I'm moving. Out of the country. To a foreign country. One that is cold.

It's pretty scary how fast these past few months have gone. It feels like I was only just saying goodbye to Jason at the airport, wondering how I was going to cope being on my own for months on end. And here I am, months later, counting down the days until I leave.

Only one more month! 30 days total. 20 school days. 4 weekends. Yipes.

I suppose it's only fitting to post something randomly English?

  4. So close to when you get to see Jase... now that is gonna be amazing and beat any cold.
Until a few hours later. By then the cold will win.

  5. The trick to beating the cold is wearing cloths! If you wander around in a t-shirt and shorts you will be cold! But if you layer up it’s not so bad, believe me I live here we survive! And were not so cold as other places in the US and on the continent and if you were going further North like Scotland Now they get really cold but again you just wear the right cloths and layer up.
I can imagine if you’re from a hotter climate it can seem colder so what ever you do don’t try trekking to the north pole as then you’ll just want to die! But we are not the coldest and recently we’ve had quite mild winters! Having said that we will now have a cold one as Sods law is about!
So here is a quick lesson on layering up remember this is why you go to the bathroom to get undressed as it’s not so sexy undressing when you have this many cloths on! LoL
    1. Under wear pretty obvious bra knickers but you can also add a thin vest or t-shirt the ones that hug you tight and also tights thick 60 denier tights (the ones that won’t ladder even when a blow torch is taken to it and even if it dose no one will ever see it right!) then socks or those sock tights for another layer on the feet
    2. Over wear depending on if it’s causal or work wear you can wear a long sleeve t shirt under a short sleeve t shirt with a hoodie or a shirt with a jumper over the top, jeans or trousers with hiking or knee high boots
    3. Outside wear nice thick long (or knee length at least) coat a collar you can turn up and hood if possible, gloves, scarf & hat ( a good coat is an investment and treated well will last you, there’s my mum bit for the day LoL)
Remember offices (and homes) have heating (or are suppose to mine dose but it sit so far from it I don’t feel it!) so you have to be able to take off the layers if you need to and put them on again if it gets cold again, like dinner duty, or waiting for the bus or the heating breaks down!

Now I can go back to making Xmas cards!

  13. 30 Days. Good God.

My finances dictate that I won't be able to start shopping until the 15th. That's plenty of time, right? Gulp.

So where exactly are you moving to? I know it's a place without libraries or bookstores, but beyond that I don't know the location.

  19. Why are you reminding me of the number of days until Christmas??? I'm not done shopping, I haven't bought my plane ticket home yet, etc. etc. BUT none of this is as stressful as an entire move. So I guess you win. LOL I hope this next month goes so smoothly for you!!!
