Alive and ... Drooling?

I made it!

I'm not particularly awake at the moment, but just thought I would pop online and let you know that I arrived in London early this morning. The first part of the flight was 7 hours to Singapore, then 13 hours from then on. It's a horrid one at the best of times, but is particularly dreadful when you can't breathe.

We caught a taxi home from the airport, where I giggled like a crazy person as we drove past Leicester and Trafalgar Squares, and omg a red phone booth! I'm easily pleased.

It all feels like a bit of a dream, at the moment. The house is gorgeous, the pillows are awesome, and I'm feeling comfortable. Now if I could just wake up for a few more hours and get into the swing of the time zone, things will be perfect.

I'll post more details later when I feel more awake, but in the meantime - did you have an amazing Christmas? Since I missed mine, you'll have to fill me in on yours.

  1. Hooray for a safe trip! I am a bit delayed on sharing about my Christmas, but it was a day alternating between eating and sleeping, so I can't complain. :)

Glad you survived the trip. I once took a plane from Chicago to Hong Kong - freakin' fifteen hours! bah! They have GOT to invent a better way to do this whole traveling thing.

  23. Yay! You made it safe and sound (no, that's not a foghorn, that's just Alynda with a stuffy nose...kidding, kidding!). My Christmas was good, DH got me a lovely cert for a massage (which is just what I need after spending 5 days with the in-laws!) and all the presents from the in-laws can be exchanged, so no worries there! Oh, and I got drunk. Heee.

  34. Crikey. You're on the other side of the world.

It feels weird for me so it must feel a million times more weird for you.

The best feeling is that in the end, it only takes a day, and you are in another place, on the other side of the world, and it makes you wonder...why doesn't everyone do this?

    Great to hear from you...
