After work today, Jase and I met up and headed down south to have dinner with some friends of ours who offered to cook us dinner! Considering it was Thai food and a) I love Thai food, and b) I love board games, and c) I like our friends, it sounded like the perfect evening.
And perfect it was! Nothing like home-made Pad Thai, banoffee pie and fresh fruit, whilst happily bantering over a game of good old fashioned Scrabble. (And in case you were wondering, I totally won.)
Any of my blogging friends who have added me on Facebook will probably know that I am a Scrabulous nut. I love playing a few rounds before work, then during lunch, then just before heading to bed. I've always loved board games, and Mum initially got me onto it, but now everyone is fair game! Lara? Yep, we're playing. Swiss? Yep, we're playing too! Noelle? Possibly the world's best Scrabble player. Enny? She is about to beat me, close game. Stacy? Girl's whipping my arse!
I love the game, even if I do suck sometimes. And that's why I love my Scrabble threadless tee so much. Fits me perfectly, in both senses of the word.
(Pooper should totally have been allowed tonight. Nobody believed me when I claimed it to be a word. Party poopers. Ha! I would've done awesome with that one . . . )

Food sounds yum! You've made me hungry, but alas I have nothing in my fridge (going shopping tomorrow). And I totally agree, pooper is most definitely a word.
I love Scrabble as well, and I totally blame it on my mom.
I love scrabble too! Even though I usually lose... but it's addicting!
Homemade dinners are the best!
I love Scrabble! I do well using up my letters, but I'm cruddy with points.
I loved UpWords when I was a kid. Like Scrabble only every letter is one point and the letters stack on each other.
oh! next time one of us are on, we should start a game with each other! i love scrabulous but i suck haha
It IS a close game!!!
It's only fair - you won all the other times ;o)
Wheee board games!
I'm so having a board games night/video game night/billiards night/movie night when I get my own place.
Or I should have a separate night for them all? Ha.
i'd rather play board games than go out, honestly, and having board games online? Totally addicting! I'll quit commenting and go make my next move on our game! Much fun! Have a brilliant weekend, sweetie!
I love Facebook Scrabulous. Three coworkers and I are playing 4 simultaneous multi-player games against each other. It's a great way to make the day go by a little faster.
Stacy's currently kicking my ass at Scrabulous too! It doesn't help that all I have to work with are vowels.
I am SO addicted to Scrabble. And I get way too competitive as well. :) I've never tried Scrabulous, but that's probably a GOOD thing...LOL
I CANNOT seem to win at Scrabulous... need to keep trying!
If you win our next game, I'll buy you a threadless tee.
Look for me to make some more moves upon my return from California...
