Can't type well, just slammed my thumbnail backwards on the metal door of my washing machine as I was loading laundry and OMG the PAIN is UNBEARABLE. It even warrants capitals! At first I thought I was being a wimp, but then there was blood, followed by mild panic that my finger (or at least the nail) was going to fall off and now there is just throbbing and one heck of a blood blister.
See, folks? Chores are bad.
P.S. My finger hurts.

The nail could still come off. I stubbed one of my toes on the shower door one time and wound up losing half the nail.
Ooooooh! Ouchie. I once slammed my thumb into a car door. It turned black and icky. Eventually it fell off and I had to grow a new nail.
Ouch! That kind of thing hurts really badly...I hope it heals soon. Did you try ice?

Ouch! I've done that before. Ice will make it feel a bit better, but fingernails take a long time to heal. Only toenails take longer (done that too!)
