The last 24 hours have been some of the worst in my life. After speaking to my doctor and receiving the not-so-great follow-up beta results, we were basically expecting the worst. My numbers have always been low to start with, and adding in the fact that they weren't doubling, well, things didn't look great.
I called my fertility clinic in a panicked mess last night, and they told me to come in and have bloods taken this morning. After a sleepless night, I had blood drawn at 6.30am this morning.
The call came this afternoon. My 17dpo bloods are 246 {they were only 145 yesterday} & my progesterone levels are 'through the roof'- meaning the pessaries are doing their job. She told me to relax, that there's no good worrying, that today's number was a good indication that it's rising and it's doing it's thing. She also said NO MORE BLOOD TESTS, so I'm going to go ahead and agree with her on that one.
So, it looks like this now:
14dpo hCG level - 93
16dpo hCG level - 145
17dpo hCG level - 246
Total hCG Difference: | 153 mlU/ml (164.5%) |
hCG Doubling Every: | 2 days 3.31 hours (51.31 Hours) |
2-Day Increase: | 178 mlU/ml (91.4%) (normal) |

Thinking of you! Grow baby, grow!
Great advice. More blood tests will just make you worry. It is a bit like Dr Google a bottomless pit of worry that ypu can't do anything to change. Get outside enjoy a bit of sunshine tomorrow. Go lay under a tree and watch the leaves. ...and breathe
Fingers crossed for you, Jag!
Praying for a healthy pregnancy!
I LOVE you and your little family
big hugs to you
i hate that it is so hard for you when you want this baby so much
i love you more than words can say
<3
Grow baby grow!!!! Told Hubs about your story last night. We're both pulling for you!
Phew. Try not to worry is so much easier to say than do. Peace to you!
Fingers crossed so tightly for you!
Hello, visiting here from ICLW and sending you much love, strength and peace for the days ahead.
Really, really hoping and praying that your snow baby will stick. xx
Have been a reader for a couple of years now and wishing you the best. My betas with my one and only successful pregnancy had slower doubling times than yours. They went up just a hair over 80% in 48 hours, both from 13dpo to 15dpo and again from 15dpo to 17dpo. I worried myself sick over it. The only difference between my numbers and yours (other than yours doubling faster!) is that yours are lower overall than mine were -- my twins are now 4.5 months old. :) So keep that chin up, your numbers could be absolutely, perfectly fine! I certainly don't want to put any false hopes into you, but after my own 6 IVF cycles, I can say that your numbers look great to me! <3
My closest friend in IF had a beta of 83 at 14dpo and 85 at 16dpo. Her little boy is 9 months tomorrow.
I just caught up reading and am so thankful for a higher beta! Hoping and praying with you!
Thinking of you and hoping for the best. It's out of your control so worrying definitely doesn't help. Hoping you can find the ability to relax some. Fingers crossed!
Praying for you and baby. Beta hell is the worst! *hugs*
Visiting with high hopes for your little frostie. I know how grueling these times can be and how much you can want to expand your family. It's an emotionally charged time for you. I think you are doing great and that little embie is hanging with you. You have provided a safe place for a baby before and you will do it again.
Hang in there!

Praying for you, love!
Maybe the embie needed some extra time to defrost? I agree that no more blood tests is a good thing. When is your ultrasound?
Keeping my fingers crossed for you. xo
